    1. Hello, Annette! I was in the same boat when I first started the curly girl method. Are you currently following the curly girl method? If not, you should definitely check it out! Here's a link to a post I wrote that explains it: http://carefreecurls.blogspot.com/2015/06/what-is-curly-girl-method.html?m=1

Anywho, good luck in the giveaway! I hope you get to try out the products! :)

  4. She has some good products. I used to use her DCT and Too Shea a lot early in my journey, and I enjoy her lavender/citrus scent and the option for unscented (which I used when I was having some allergy/scalp issues). Thanks for having the giveaway.

    1. Yeah, I've been using her Spiralicious and Too Shea in the lavender/citrus scent and really like it (which is surprising because I normally dislike lavender!). :) Glad you're enjoying the giveaway! <3

  5. Awesome giveaway! I am 35 and have natural 3b curls, but only recently discovered Jessicurl products. I'm still trying to find the perfect combination. My hair is fairly long and cut in long layers to really boost the curls. I use the Cleansing Cream and Too Shea in the shower. Then Spiralicious and a couple of drops of the oil blend to keep it frizz free. I tried but I didn't love the Confident Coils as it always flaked in my hair when it dried. :-( I'm waiting on Mr. Mailman to bring me some Rockin Ringlets early next week to add to the hair ritual. The only problem that I'm having with the Jessicurl products I currently use is that sometimes my scalp feels dirty and maybe a little oily. I wash it every day. Could I be using too much?

    1. Thank you! :)

If your hair is getting greasy, you may need to clarify your hair using a shampoo with sulfates. I know sulfates can be drying, but sometimes hair needs a deeper cleaning.. This is especially true if you live in an area with hard water (like me). If your hair feels dry afterwards, you can always follow up with a DT. :)

Another thing you can do to combat the greasiness is avoid putting conditioner or stylers right on the roots. This can help with the greasiness right at the scalp. Especially with spiralicious styling gel; this is the gel that I've been using lately, and I definitely suggest not to overdo it. Whenever I use too much, my hair always ends up looking somewhat greasy. You've just got to play around with the amount of product used until you find the perfect balance for your hair. ;) Maybe you could also try using less of the oil blend. Oil can make hair look greasy.

Let me know how the rockin' ringlets works out for you once you try it out! I've been tempted to try it, but I haven't gotten it yet. :)

    2. Thanks for the tips! We definitely have hard water. I'll use a sulfate shampoo to try to get rid of the icky scalp feel tomorrow. I'll let you know how the Rockin ringlets goes. Since it's supposed to be lighter, I'm hoping I can use it with just a couple of drops of Spiralicious. :-)

    3. So the Rockin' Ringlets is turning out to be pretty good. It does give some moderate curl enhancement. It definitely makes crunchy curls, so scrunching the crunch is a must. I find that it also provides some hold. If it isn't too humid (unlikely in Tennessee, where I live) it could be used alone. I have been using a couple of puddles of the RR and then finishing with just a tiny bit of Spiralicious. I broke out the Confident Coils today and used just a quarter sized puddle of that in place of the Spiralicious. The Confident Coils didn't get all flaky this time (probably because I used such a small amount). It gives less hold than the Spiralicious, but it was still a good hair day! I definitely recommend trying the Rockin' Ringlets.

    4. Hi, Amber! :) I'm glad to hear that Rockin' Ringlets has been working out for you. Haha I actually don't mind products that make hair crunchy; it's kind of satisfying to crunch it out. :) I just might try out rockin' ringlets when I get the chance!
